Between 2019 and 2024, the SOLID was coordinated by Professor Dr. Heino Stöver at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. In the first project phase, twelve wonderful PhD students from Central Asia and China conducted research on social work, drug treatment, infectious diseases as well as prison social work at the partner universities in China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The first project phase also included summer schools, conferences, workshops, study visits, book publications, webinars and e-learning activities. The PhD students continue to be involved in the SOLID network as associated researchers.
